【Abstract】 The extraction and recognition of dimension symbols in scanned engineering drawing images is a difficult task in the field of pattern recognition. A method for the extraction and recognition of handwritten characteris in scanned engineering drawing images is proposed. Some simple and easily constructed structural features of characters have been used. This method has been applied in the software GIRS 5. 0 for intelligent recognition after an engineering drawing is scanned. The rates of extraction and recognition have exceeded 92%.更多还原
