Mathematical statistics and linear regression were based on the data from the actual operation of two treatment systems, i.e, A/O and aerobic, to build separately their cost functions for printing and dyeing waastewater treatment. As for the A/O system, a technical and economic analysis resulted from some of its indicators, such as capital cost, space occupied, energy consumption and operating cost, etc, is given out and discussed by comparison with the aerobic system.
