Ti-Al-O-Cl四元系热力学平衡计算
STUDY ON THE THERMODYNAMICS OF OXIDATION OF TiCl4 AND AlCl3 IN THE CHLORIDE PROCESS FOR TITANIUM WHITE PIGMENT
【摘要】 在向 TiCl4中加入一定的 AlCl3以后,氯化法钛白工艺中的氧化过程就变成了由 Ti-Al-O-Cl 四元系的热化学过程.应用 SOLGASMIX 和 H-S-C 计算化学软件对该四元系不同工艺条件下热化学平衡组分的计算结果表明,该四元系中,元素 Ti、Al 的氧化特性与体系的条件有着非常紧密的关系,即当体系的温度、TiCl4中 AlCl3的数量、以及配氧系数变化时,Ti 和 Al 的氧化特性同时也要发生相应的变化,特别是 AlCl3的氧化特性,出于当温度升高时,AlCl3的氧化存在一个陡降区,所以,为了使加入的 AlCl3能在氧化过程中起到转化剂的作用,氯化法钛白中氧化工艺参数的选择,必须避开此陡降区.
【Abstract】 When a small amount of AlCl3 is added into the stream of TICl4,oxidation of chloride with O2 in the chloride process is involved with a system consisting of four elements: Ti,Al,O and Cl.Using computer software SOLGASMIX and H-S-C,composition of the system at thermodynamic equillibrium under various conditions is calculated.The results show that the behavior of Ti and A1 is closely related with the process parameters,including reaction temperature,amount of AlCl3 relative to TiCl4 and excess coefficient of O2.It is also found that the oxidation conversion of AlCl3 drops drastically as the reaction temperature is raised to a critical value.In order that the added AlCl3 promotes the phase conversion of titanium dioxide crystals with efficiency,the operating parameters should be carefully selected to maintain a high conversion of added AlCl3.
