【Abstract】 According to the requirements of woollen textile industry and market for Mohair, it is demonstrated that developing Mohair production in North Shaanxi is suitable based on the comparison of the natural form or animal productive conditions with the original area of Angora goat. Thus, it is suggested to introduce Angora goat to North Shaanxi to do the upgrading in extensive scale. The new North Shaanxi Mohair goats will take 20 years to be bred. The productive base will be built to raise one million Mohair goats and product 2000t Mohair each year.
