FP型非共焦球面镜光学谐振腔的研制
A New Type of Optical FP Resonator with Nonconfocal Spherical Mirrors for Optical FDM Systems
【摘要】 在分析共焦球面镜谐振腔特性的基础上首次提出:精确控制中心小孔光阑尺寸,可以在基本不影响基模透过率和谐振腔细度条件下,使该腔实现单横模(基模)稳定工作。进而在实验中实现了这一新型FP(Fabry-Perot)腔,其自由光谱区34GHz,细度90,插入损耗6dB。该谐振腔工作可靠稳定,与光纤系统耦合的插入损耗低,已成功地应用于140Mb/s非相干频移键控(FSK)频分复用(FDM)光纤传输系统中,并在长期的系统实验中显示了优良的性能和结构稳定性。
【Abstract】 A novel nonconfocal-spherical-mirror FP resonator with high stability and low insertion loss for optical FDM system is developed. A precision pile-hole aperture is used to achieve the stable single transverse mode (the fundamental mode ) operation with little penalty to cavity peak-transmission and finesse. A manufactured model with finesse of 90, free-spectral-range of 34 GHz and insertion loss of B dB is successfully appplied in a 140Mb/s optical FDM system. Both good system performance and long-term system stability are obtained with this resonator.
