【Abstract】 As rigid rod aromatic heterocyclic polymers were synthesized, the concept of molecular composite was pioneered. This paper describes research and development of molecular composite which are dispersions of the rigid rod polymer molecules as a reinforcement in a matrix of flexible coil polymers, for the recent 10 years. The synthesis and properties of a several typical molecular composite systems, for instance, all aromatic, polyamide,and high temperature stable thermoplastic matrixes systems are introduced, The prognosis of the developed processes for commercial viability appears very good.更多还原
