带有调谐电感的铌隧道结SIS准粒子混频器件
A Niobium Tunnel Junction SIS Mixer Element with Tuning Inductance
【摘要】 自从P.L.Richards 1979年发表SIS准粒子混频器的实验结果以来.迄今已有大约50台SIS准粒子混频接收机在世界各地的天文台投入运行,其中性能最佳者当数铌隧道结SIS准粒子混频接收机。这种SIS混频接收机性能可靠,且可用闭合循环氦制冷机冷却,在4.3K温度操作即可达到好的噪声性能.当前的研究集中在两个方面,一是研制更高操作频率的SIS准粒子混频接收机;另一方面改善它的带宽特性.改善带宽特性的办法之一是在SIS隧道结上并联一个调谐电感,调谐掉结电容.过去一些研究工作是在铅铟合金结上做的,我们改用全铌隧道结工艺,希望能为我们实验室做成实用的SIS隧道结混频元件。器件的直流测量结果证实我们的制造工艺是可行的.调谐电感的作用有待混频试验来验证.
【Abstract】 Since the experimental result of SIS tunnel junction quasiparticle mixer was published by P.L.Rechards in.1979,about fifty such kind of mixer receivers have been put into operation at astronomical observatory all over the world,the best one is niobium tunnel.junction SIS quasiparticle mixer receiver.This SIS mixer receiver is reliable,and can achieve good noise performance even operated at 4.3K temperature with a close cycle helium refrigerator.The present research objective is to achieve higher operating frequency and better band-width performance.One of the methods is to shunt a tuning inductance to the SIS tunnel junction in order to tune out the capacitance of the junction.Published investigations were made with lead-indium alloy tunnel junction,we used all niobium tunnel junction technology,in the hope of preparing a practical mixer element for our laboratory.The DC measuring result of our device demonstrates that our fabrication process is right.The function of the tuning inductance will be test with mixer experiment.
