【Abstract】 FDPE is an integrated CASE environment for the purpose of software process automation and its kernel is a formal specification language FDP well defined on both syntax and semantics. In FDPE, software process is divided into two stages, i.e., to generate a specification from user’s requirments and then translate the specification into programs. Computer supports to software process were implemented through integrating a series of advanced techniques in FDPE, such as graphic editing, rapid prototyping, software reuse, specification verification and program transformation, and a comfortable software development environment was provided for users by FDPE, in which both the software qualities can be ensured and its productivities can be improved greatly.
