【Abstract】 By use of compensation theorem, superposition theorem and reciprocal theory in fault analysis based on symmetrical components, a new method is presented for solving simultaneous faults involving open conductors and short circuits on a transmission line without modifying the Z-bus or Y-bus of each o-riginal sequence networks.
