【Abstract】 The preparation of foamed alkaline nickel cadmium sealed rechargeable batteries was reported. The manufacturing process and the characteristics of the foamed nickel substrate,foamed nicked electrode and the batteries were described in detail. AA size foamed nickel cadmium batteries had excellent performances with the discharge capacity greater than 700 mAh.
