【Abstract】 The protective effects of Hypericum japonicumThumb.(HJT)against acetaminophen hepatotoxici-ty were studied in mice.After treatment with ac-etaminophen,SGPT,serum glutathione S-trans-ferase(SGST)and malonaldehyde(MDA)were sig-nificantly increased,hepatic GST content was de-pleted and microsomal GST activity was reduced.The high SGST,SGPT levels and decreased hepaticGST content returned to almost normal after HJTip 8,15g/kg qd×10d in acetaminophen intoxi-cated mice.The effects were dose-dependent.At the same time,the decreased microsomal GST increasedby the above doses of HJT.The production of lipidperoxide and triglyceride in injured liver tissue wasalso inhibited at 15g/kg HJT.更多还原
