【Abstract】 In this paper,a study was done of GABA uptake and release incerebellum of offsprings born to the rats fed for 4 months in a severeendemic cretinism area,aimed at observing the effect of iodine deficiency onGABA ergic system in developing rat brain.The results showed that theuptake of ³H-GABA of the developing rat cerebellum was lower （P<0.001）in the experimental group,but in the rats treated wizh T₃,the uptake wasaccelerated markedly （P<0.001）.the release of ³H-GABA increased obviouslyin rats added T₃ （P<0.05）.In conclusion,iodine deficiency led to decreaseof ³H-GABA uptake into cerebel lumin developing rats,T₃ promoted bothuptake and release of ³H-GABA.更多还原
