This paper presents a general DSS for steel product mix planning for various technological processes. The system consists of man-machine interface system, problem processing sy-stem, data base system and model base system. It has two main function modules: the environment recognition and analysis function module and decision support aid function module, and thus has comprehensive decision support functions for various middle and small iron and steel works to plan the product mix.
