【Abstract】 The shortcomings of the traditional heating-up methods in the small and middle size glass factories of China have been analysed. A newly used heating-up technique, the hot-blast heating-up method, is presented and its main operational rules, technological process and practical examples etc. are also discussed in the paper. Compared with the traditional heating-up methods the hot-blast heating-up method is safer and easier for operating,meanwhile it can also shorten heating-up time, reduce energy comsumption and make the heating-up process satisfactory.
