Ba离子储存信号的射频和荧光检测
RF and Fluorescence Detection of the Trapped Ions Ba
【摘要】 <正> 在我们研制的射频离子阱中,通过外加射频和静电场对离子的作用,实现了Ba+、Pb+、Ar+、N2+、O2+等多种离子的存储。分别利用射频吸收和荧光检测,对离子信号进行了观察和分析,得到了一些初步结果。阱体由一对端极和一环极组成,内表面为旋转双曲面,采用无氧铜材料,环极的最小半径的r0=21/2z0=2cm,2z0为两端极间的最短距离。阱体置于用钛离子泵维持的超高真
【Abstract】 We have built up a RF quadrupole ion trap apparatus, in which several kinds of ions such as Ba+, Pb+, Ar+, N2+, O2+ and so on were created and trapped. The trapped ions were detected by RF detection and the total number was about 105~106. The confinement time was from several seconds (for N2+) to several hours (for Ba+). We have proposed a method to measure the space distribution and the average kinetic energy of the trapped ion cloud, and the results were in agreement with the theory. Also, we have detected the ions by laser-induced fluorescence and got the fluorescence signal of trapped Ba+.
