【Abstract】 A thermal transfer mathematical model on the solidification of stain- less steel slabs has been developed; effects of process parameters on the solidification of slabs in the mould and in the secondary cooling zone analysed; and the optimum cooling pattern established based on the chara cteristics of concasters through tests. The calculation formula on the volume of secondary cooling water has been derived, and profile of process para- meters drawn from the enormous calculated datum. Tests indicate that vol- ume of water supply in each cooling zone is basically in agreement with that shown on the water meter provided by VOEST.更多还原
