【Abstract】 The present paper relates to the new progress of hot metal pretreatment process abroad in the recent years involving overall hot metal pretreatment; dephosphorization of special furnace using converter slag as dephosphorizlng agent; slag free refning with pretreated hot metal; analysis on the economical efficiency of desulphurization; enhancement of efficiency of dephosphorizing agent and improvement of quality of hot metal.
