【Abstract】 The article reports the condition of the check-up on the effect of the prevention and treatment of endemic goiter in the basic control stage in Linyi area. It seems to confirm that the sickness rate and the swelling rate of endemic goiter this year are evidently lower than in 1984. It is demonstrated that the average sickness rate is below 1 percent and the swelling rate of the children aged 7 to 14 years is below 10 percent by the experimental detection of the contents of iodine in urine and in drinking water, the quality of iodinated salt and the contrastive analysis before and after the prevention and treatment. The data obtained will provide the scientific basis for the elimination of theharm of iodine deficiency to the people in Linyi area in future.更多还原
