THE CHARACTERISTICS OF BLOOD RHEOLOGY OF HIGH ALTITUDE ANIMALS AND ITS DEACCLIMATION CHANGES ON PLAIN
【Abstract】 The characteristic of blood rheology of high altitude animal included pika,Tibetan sheep and hima laya marmota were observed in different altitude and plain. At the highland (2300~3 600m) the results showed the increasing of blood viscosity and platelet aggregation, with the raising of altitude, but only little on hematocrit. It revealed that it was benifical for those animal: : ro carry more oxygen and supply it to tissue effectively. At the plain (sea level), hematocrit and blood viscosity began to decrease obviously. After modulating for a month, hematocrit and blood viscosity raised gradually with partial pressure of oxygen decreasing. This means the characteristics of blood rheololgy is remarkably changed when high altitude animals were sojourned to lowland.
