ADAPTATIVE CHANGES OF MO2—SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCES IN RABBIT DURING ACUTE HYPOXIA
【Abstract】 The MO2—specific conductances MO2—SC)at 3 different levels(air—alveolar gas(A),alveolar gasarterial blood(a)and arterial blood mixed venous blood(?)in oxygen cascade were studied in 10 rabbits under acute hypoxia(simulated altitude 7000m),It was observed that the ventilatory MO2—SC during acute hypoxia did not change, which suggested that the ventilation response played a great role in increasing MO2—SC at acute hypoxia. The complex tranport MO2—SC.between A and a increased remarkably probably owing to high lung —diffusing, lower arterial—venous shunt and homogeneity in the distribution of alveolar ventilation and blood perfusion. The circulatory MO2—SC between a and (?) also significantly higher than the control. The result showed that the increased MO2—SC was seen at altitude—hypoxia in the animals. We considered that the MO2—SC would be a good comprehensive index to evaluate the organism adaptability to altitude hypoxia.
