晶须增韧氮化硅复合材料及其在切削刀具上的应用

【摘要】 研究了一种用晶须增韧减少崩刃的高韧性高强度的新型陶瓷刀具材料。深入分析了晶须增韧的主要因素,提出了陶瓷基复合材料的界面设计新思想和独特有效的工艺技术。结果表明,在氮化硅陶瓷中加入少量碳化硅晶须后,强度和韧性分别提高20%和50%以上。用其制成的刀具,在抗机械冲击和热冲击性以及崩缺少等方面比一般的陶瓷刀均有明显改善。

【Abstract】 A new kind of cutting tool materials toughened by SiC whiskers to improve bursting of the tool edgewas studied. Based on the analysis of the main factors influencing the toughening of SiC whiskers, the newidea of interface design and new manufacturing process for these composites were proposed. The bendingstrength and fracture toughnesss of silicon nitride ceramics toughened by SIC whiskers were improved bymore than 20% and 50% respectively. This composite material with high-strength, high-toughness, andhigh-hardnness was used to make cutting tools which show higher cutting performace than other ceramiccutting tools.
