【Abstract】 Based on the fact that trace copper catalyzes the color-fading oxidation reaction of chrome azurol S by hydrogen peroxide in a medium of ammonia water, a new method for catalytic spectrophotometric determination of trace copper has been developed. The linear range is 0～20ng/mL and the limit of detection is 5.59×10^-11g/mL.
