【Abstract】 The methylene blue(MB) sensitized photooxygenation of 2-phenylindole(1)was reported with the main product,2-phenyl-2-(2’-phenyl-3’-indolyl)-3-indolinone(2) being isolated and the molecular structure being assigned on the basis of the spectral data.
