【Abstract】 The present paper deals with a new species of the genus Aporina belonging to the family Anoplocephalidae, collected from birds in Sichuan Province, China.Aporina orientalis sp. nov.(figs. 1-3)Host Streptopelia orientalis orientalis (Lathum).Location Small intestine.Locality Xiushan and Wulong County, Sichuan Province,Holotype and paratype are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica.Description; Worm of medium size. Strobila 46-77 mm in length and 5-5.3 mm in maximum width. Neck absent, proglottids broader than long. Immature proglottids 0.1565-0.3652×1.7742-3.574mm, mature, 0.574-0.678×4.174-4.435 mm; gravid, 0.9914-1.0175 × 5.0352-0.0354 mm. A single set of reproductive organs per proglottid. Genital pores irregularly alternating, opening at anterior third of the lateral margin of the proglottid.Scolex rounded, unarmed, 0.1905-0.2165mm in width; Suckers 4, roundish or elliptical, without spines, 0.0775-0.0953×0.0693-0.0775 mm.Testes 75-102, roundish, 0.0258-0.0433×0.0258-0.0344mm, distributed at each side of the female genital organs, Cirrus pouch small, poorly developed, shuttle-shaped, 0.06062-0.0779mm, in length and 0.0258-0.0299mm in diameter, with the bottom of the pouch reaching or not reaching the ventral longitudinal excretory ducts. External seminal vesicle 0.06062-0.0779 mm in length, 0.0172-0.0258mm in diameter and the internal seminal vesicle 0.0519-0.060mm in length. 0.0218mm in diameter.Female genital organs situated at the median of the proglottid, but slightly near the poral side. Ovary with two lobes, consisting of a number of pear-shaped follicles. The antiporal lobe slightly larger than the poral lobe. Vitelline gland elliptical or elongated transversely, compact, posterior to ovary. Seminal receptacle present, 0.1213-0.1472×0.0433-0.0693 mm. Uterus a transverse tube, with numerous anterior and posterior saclike outgrowths when fully gravid, not over reaching excretory stems laterally. Eggs without pyriform apparatus.Discussion The new species resembles Aporina delafondi and A. oenopopeliae, but differs from the latter 2 species mainly by the smaller size of the cirrus pouch and external seminal vesicle. Number of testes of the A. oenopopeliae less than that of the new species, Strobilar of the former shorter than A. delafondi.更多还原
