压力铸造金属基复合材料的浸渗过程
The Infiltration Process of Metal Matrix Composite by Pressure Casting
【摘要】 应用具有宽调速特性的低压铸造法制备了碳纤维增强铝基复合材料,着重探讨了其液相浸渗过程。结果表明:金属流体的浸渗充型随着纤维体积分数的增大,从非均衡浸渗向均衡浸渗变化。纤维与基体的润湿是获得良好浸渗的前提。浸渗速度与加压速度的平方根成正比,浸渗系数只在较高的纤维体积分数时才与多孔介质流体力学的计算值相符。通过适当的工艺控制,可制得浸渗良好的复合材料。
【Abstract】 A pressure casting apparatus with an velocity-adjustable system has been developped to make C/AL composite.Investigations are focussed on its infil- tration process.The results show that with the increase of fiber volume fraction,the unhomogeneous infiltration of liquid metal changes into homog- eneous one.The wetting between metal and fiber is a prerequisite for good infiltration.Metal infiltration velocity is proportional to the square root of the pressure spced.And only at the considerable fiber volume fraction,do the infiltration coeffilients agree to the calculations of the bundle-aggregates kinetics.By a proper control of process parameters,the sound composite can be produced.
