【Abstract】 It is reported first in China that eight strains of V. damsela were isolated from Penaeus Orien- talis with red legs living in the sea of southern Fujian Province. Their general properties are: Gram-negative short rod; weakly motile; oxidase positive; indole-negative; glucose, maltose and ma- nnose are fermented; M-R- and V-P-positive; arg- inine dihydrolase-positive; ornithine decarboxylase- negatlve; fermentation of L-arabinose, sucrose and mannitol negative; positive results in the tests for nitrate reduction to nitrite and growth in the presence of 1-3% NaCl; and negative results in growth in 0% NaCl and 8% NaCl. In addition, they are sensitive to 0/129; pathogenic to mice; and sensitive to common abtibiotics but partl resistant to Cephalothin and Oxytetracycline and resistant to all the Penicillin family. V damsela as a fishhuman infected bacterium should arouse attention.更多还原
