【Abstract】 <ABSTRACT>Some effects on the viability of cryopreserved skin are studied,includ-ing concentrations of cryoprotective agents (CPA, glycerol or DMSO),pretreatment time and administration methods of CPA. Two new practicalmethods -- a cooler controlled by microprocessor and stepmotor system,and an improved two-step cooling method using a gauze envelope soakedwith brine or alcohol solution -- are deyeloped for the optimal cooling pr-ocedure.
