【Abstract】 This paper introduces a new and speedy detective technique which can be used in the field work for geological hazard. It introduces the basic working principles of the218Po method. Several case histories in this paper , show the application effects of the method to the investigation of geological hazards such as; ground fissures , subsidence areas etc. The mechanism of movement of radon is also discussed briefly.
