【Abstract】 Using tissue typing technique (microcytotoxity assay), a particular MHC antigen HLA-B27 was examined in 52 patients with acute anterior uveitis (AAU), 50 healthy individuals and 19 cases of uveitis with other etiologies. The result showed that there wasa significant association of HLA-B27 in patients with AAU (60%), compared with the control (2%). It seems that an individual carrying the HLA-B27 is more likely to contract AAU, relative to an individual without this antigen. Further analysis also indicated that there were some differences between HLA-B27 positive AAU and HLA-B27 negative AAU based on their clinical features.更多还原
