【Abstract】 The on going expansion of the project scales of high dams, water power stations and locks, etc. has led to the fact that the dimensions, heads, loads and lifts of gates are forging ahead and bringing about new changes day after day. The past successful experience and new trends should be taken into account in selection and design cf gates.
