【Abstract】 This paper improves the implicit method of characteristics (IMOC) for solution of hyperbolic equations. The method proves to be unconditionally stable and unlimited by the CFL-criterion. This paper also improves the precision and convergent rate of calculation by using the second order interpolation. It decomposes the (2n-2)-th equations into n-th and (n-2)-th equations, so that it uses less computer storage and computing time. These merits were verified by an example.更多还原
