【Abstract】 By using hydrographical, meteorological and atmospheric observations obtained from the first cruise of PRC-USA joint air-sea interaction studies in the western tropical Pacific ocean, the vertical structure of the air temperature and humidity in the troposphere of the study area are analyzed in this paper. It is revealed that there is a multiple-temperature inversion layer in the lower layer of the troposphere in the western tropical Pacific, and pointed out that the genesis and maintenance of thin temperature inversion layer is mainly dependent upon large-scale increasing temperature efficiency when sinking.更多还原
