图书馆集成化计算机管理实用系统的设计和建立
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INTEGRATED LIBRARY AUTOMATION SYSTEM
【摘要】 建立的SIOCL图书馆集成化管理系统由中、西、俄、日各语种的图书和期刊相互独立的8个子系统组成,并通过一个书刊流通文档使之相互联系,其功能覆盖了图书馆的采访、编日、借阅流通、连续出版物管理,统计等各方面的工作。系统采用全屏幕表格式输入输出。为便于多文种书刊的检索,提出了一系列易于掌握并响应速度快的代码化检索途径及书刊名关键词语义检索功能,提供了用户友好的菜单式人机会话界面。
【Abstract】 An integrated library automation system, named SIOCL(Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry-Library), based on the VAX series of superminicomputer is reported. The system consists of eight independent subsystems for management of books and periodicals in Chinese, Russian, Japanese and Western languages. A circulation management subsystem using light pen and bar code is used to link above subsystems and to show whether the books or periodicals have been checked out. At present, almost all of management works of the library, such as acquisition, cataloging of books and serials, circulation and statistics are completed by the VAX computer in SIOC. There are some outstanding features in the SIOCL: multi-language processing, setting of the code searching key, the default proximity searching function for English or Chinese book’s names, higher integrated structure for reducing the repeat operation in the process of management, circulating management based on machine-readable catalog of books and serials and special circulating function for unbounding periodicals. It is especially important that the code searching way is used for retrieval of multi-language systems and for increasing the retrieval speed and effectiveness. The simple and convenient coding rules for books and serials in various languages are put forward.
