【Abstract】 From Sept. 1985 to Mar. 1989, 12 defects of finger nail on 11 cases, who had a amputation at the distal finger segment which could not be replanted or a defect of distal finger segment totally or partially, were repaired with a finger or toe nail flap. All of the finger and toe nail flap survived 7 cases of them were followed up from 3 months to 2 years, The appearance and function are relatively satisfactory.
