大圆弧车刀车削玻璃的实验研究
ON THE TURNING OF CLASS WITH LARGE-CIRCULAR CUTTING TOOLS
【摘要】 本文根据玻璃边位印压实验结果,设计出了适宜于切削玻璃的车刀——大圆弧车刀,并结合玻璃切削过程中材料的去除机理,讨论了采用这种车刀时玻璃表面的形貌和刀具磨损的原因。
【Abstract】 This paper introduces cutting tools with large-circular face for glass cutting. It has been evidenced that circular cutting edge is a suitable geometry because it can ensure the actual undeformed chip thickness near the tool corner extremely small and, as a result, the cut surface quite perfect while turning with the same cutting process parameters as those in metal cutting. An equation about the minimum undeformed chip thickness, which has a great deal to do with the cut surface, is presented. Such cutting tools always wear on their flanks more quickly than an ordinary one because of the severe friction between the tool and the cut surface. And the tool wear can be reduced greatly by using a cutting fluid with good lubricating property.
