【Abstract】 During 198.7-1988, releases of A. failacis were made in theapple orchards of Qingdao, Shandong Province, to control the redspider mite, Panonychus ulmi. Releases in late May or early Juneat a predator:prey ratio of 1:50 resulted in a successful controlof P. ulmi. The infestation level by P. ulmi was kept at 4-10adults/leaf throughout the growing season. The use of miticidewas reduced by 3 applications in the releasing year. The predatorestablished its natural population and overwinterred under theground cover. The population dispersal of A. failacis between theapple trees and the ground cover was also studied.更多还原
