【Abstract】 Through primary survey and analysis, it has been found that the main obstructive factors to Italian poplar (Populus× euramericana spp. ) growing on seashore salinesoil are the concentration of soluble salt, underground water level and the reaction of soilacid and alkali. The suitable range of the above three soil properties in which Italian poplarcan grow normally has been proposed, and the corresponding prevention and contral measureshave been suggested in this paper.
