【Abstract】 A fibre-optic pH sensor having a specific construction, has been developed for pH measurement.The proeb is made of a fibre-optic bundle at end of which is fabricated a sensitive tip consisting of microspheres of poly acrylamide supporting an adsorbed colorimetric pH indicator, which is retained in position by a membrane of polytetraflouroethylene (PTFE). Changes in pH in the vicinity liquid of the sensitive tip cause a variation in the attenuation of specific visible reflected radiation bands. The measurement results and performance specifications using phenol red indicator are discussed in this paper.更多还原
