【Abstract】 The toads （B. b. andrewst） were collec-ted from Baoxin county of Sichuan province,China. The fresh skins were extracted withmethanol. The methanol extract was separa-ted first through cartridges of Sep-Pak C₁₈and then by HPLC semi-preparatively togive the pure arenobufagine （1）, which wasidentified by mp, MS, ¹³C NMR, ¹HNMR, IR, and UV. Preliminary biological assays showedthat Ⅰ （10μg） had potent contraction of gui-nea pig ileum; Ⅰ （300μg） induced hypertensiveresponse-about 40 mmHg of increase inblood pressure when injected intravenously inrats; and Ⅰ （10μg） inhibited the growth ofmurine P388 leukemia cells by 52%.更多还原
