【Abstract】 Jojoba seed oil is practically a liquid wax consisting of long-chain wax esters rather than a mixture of triglycerides. It has one molecule of a long-chain alcohol to which one molecule of a fatty acid is attached.The distribution of chain length in the jojoba wax esters has been determined by capillary gas chromatography(GC).Analysis of the component fatty acids and alcohols are based on acidic transesterification reaction ( ethanolysis ) followed by GC/MS of estsr products and alcohols.The results of the determination have shown that eicosenoide acid and dococenol are the major constituents that contributed to the wax ester formation.更多还原
