【Abstract】 The authors determined the laser contrast sensitivity function curves of 124 normal eyes and found that the normal CSF curve was in the form of an inverted-U, or the band-pass type, with peak value at 4c/d. CSF was the highest in the middle-age group of 36-45 years. In comparison with subjects under 45 years of age, the senile group of 46-62 years had a higher CSF at the low frequency region and a lower CSF at the high frequency region, with peak value shifted to the left at 2c/d.
