【Abstract】 The capsule and subcapsular epithelium of 18 cases of fetuses and 28 cases of adult human lenses were studied by means of scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The capsule of the lens is loose in its superficial part and is dense in deep part, but no distinct demarcation line was found between the two parts. The two layers seen in light microscopy with aniline blue staining were not distinguished in electron microscopy. The structural form of adult lens capsule does not change with aging. Granular or fibriIlar inclusions were found in eqatorial and preeqatorial region of the capsule from 18 to 65. Inserted suspensary ligament fibers were seen in the superficial layers in the eqatorial region in adult lenses. Cilia were found in anterior and eqatorial subcapsular epithelial cells.更多还原
