【Abstract】 Successful application of percutaneous balloon valvuloplasty with our China-made balloon dilation catheter in 8 patients with pulmonary valve stenosis is described. The bailoon catheter consists of balloon portion and body of the catheter. It is made of specially treated polyethylene to increase the tensile strength. The balloon is size-limited and nonexpansive. The body of the catheter with two lumens is made of radiopaque polyethylene. A series of balloon catheter with inflated diameters of 10, 12, 15 and 20mm is available. The main properties and features of the balloon catheter are similar to those of MediTech balloon catheter. The authors conclude that the application of the China-made balloon catheter is effective and safe with no complication in clinical practice.更多还原
