单晶光纤的显微缺陷与生长条件
Micro Defects and Growth Conditions of Single Crystal Fibers
【摘要】 本文研究激光加热基座法生长的单晶光纤显微缺陷与工艺条件的关系。当工艺条件控制不合适时,会在晶纤中产生直径为2~10μm的微孔。在原棒直径、晶纤直径、提拉速度、原棒送速不变的条件下,当控制熔区长度L为量佳值L0时,可以获得显微缺陷最少的晶纤。当L<L0时,显微缺陷密度随L的增大而减小;当L>L0时,显微缺陷密度随L的增大而增大。熔区形状的对称性对显微缺陷的密度影响不大。
【Abstract】 Relationships between the micro defect and growth conditionsfor the single crystal fibers grown by the laser heated pedestal growth methodare studied. Microvoids of diameter 2~10 μm will be generated in the crystalfibers if the growth conditions are unsuitable. However, We have found thatcrystal fibers with minimized microvoids can be obtained under usual growthconditions when the melting zone length is controlled to an optimal value. Theshape symmetry of the melting zone has little effect on the microvoid densityin the crystal fibers.
