【Abstract】 In this paper, a six -layer mesoscale model with topography in sigma coordinate is developed. A heavy rain event has been simulated with this model. The results show that the model is capable of predicting rainfall regions during the spring rain-season in South China, and that both initial conditions and coastal convective cloud clusters associated with land breeze have effects on the predictive wind fields and precipitation areas.更多还原
