【Abstract】 We derived a mesoscale concept model for heavy rain occurring over the middle reaches of the Changjiang River from the analysis of more than 10 heavy rain episodes, obtaining certain criteria for mesoscale heavy rain forecasting from the aerological and surface physical fields.
