【Abstract】 In this paper the macro-kinetics of gold extraction from alkaline cyanide solution by trialkyl-methyl ammonium hydroxide in kerosene has been studied in a Lewis cell. A comparison between the experimental results and the theoretical analysis has been made and it was concluded that the process of gold extraction is controlled by diffusion and the resistance of diffusion exists mainly in aqueous phases.
