【Abstract】 In this paper, a model of ultra-precision metal cutting, which is based on tho famous less and shaffer’s model of metal cutting, is proposed for the first time model turning is developed. The model describes the tool edge, tool face, shear angle, the calculation of cutting forces iuvolved, etc, in ultra-precision metal cuttting process.A comparative analysis is properly made between the el and Shaffer’s model of metal cutting and the proposed model of ultra-precision metal cutting.更多还原
