古地磁场相对强度与古气候的关系——石灰岩洞穴二次生成物的新研究
CORRELATION BETWEEN RELATIVE PALEO-GEOMAGNETIC FIELD INTENSITY AND PALEOCLIMATE——NEW INVESTIGATION USING SPELEOTHEMS (SECONDARY DEPOSITS OF LIMESTONE)
【摘要】 本文作者以洞穴二次生成物-石笋,做为研究对象,探讨古地磁场相对强度与古气候的相关关系。研究结果表明,古地磁场的相对强度与古气候呈现一正相关关系。即,地磁场强度增加,古气温上升,地磁场强度减弱,古气温下降。文章指出,这种利用两者的正相关关系,以古地磁反推古气候的古环境研究方法值得提倡。
【Abstract】 The authors investigated correlation between relative paleogeomagnetic field intensity and paleoclimate, using a speleothem(stalagmite). The investigation showed the result that the correlation was positive, namely the higher the paleo-intensity the warmer the paleoclimate and vice versa. We also demonstrated, on the basis of the positive correlation obtained, a method to estimate the paleoclimatic change using the paleomagnetism of speleothems in the last section of this paper.
