【Abstract】 This paper illustrates the characteristics analysis and determination carried on the sludge and presents the experiments of specific resistance and vacumn filtration of the sludge. Through these expriments, the optimum coagulant and its dosage were chosen. The design parameters as dry mass out-put of the sludge, the vavumn degree of the equipment, and the type of filtration cloth were also selected by using the orthogonal group method.
